Year 2 had a visit from Helen Turton who came to talk to us about her expeditions to both the North Pole, and the South Pole. She showed us some maps of where she travelled, some pictures of the kit she needed, and what it looked like when she was there. She shared her experiences of how to survive, and she also brought along her sled full of equipment and clothing, which she allowed the children to explore and try on themselves. They had a great time!
