Reception Visits for September 2027

If your child is due to start school next September, you are warmly invited to visit the school for a tour and to see our wonderful Reception classes and outdoor space. Please scan the QR code and book a place on one of the many tours running throughout the school year.

Harvest Festival

We had a fabulous harvest festival assembly last week and we donated a huge amount of food to the Peterborough Food Bank. Your generosity was very much appreciated, and the Food Bank were delighted with the collection. A big thank you from Thorpe Primary Academy to all parents and guardians who donated everything from pasta and rice to baked beans and soup.

Breakfast Club

We have an exciting week planned at Breakfast Club from 9th November! Book your child a place today on Arbor and start their week off with a whole lot of fun! 

Nursery spaces for September are now available!

Our nursery provides a safe, stimulating environment where every child can learn, play, and grow. With experienced staff and a strong focus on early years' development, we ensure your child gets the best possible start. If you would like to apply for a place at our Nursery for your child, please add their name to the waiting list by scanning the QR code below. We will be in contact the term before they are due to start to notify you if we have places becoming available and to arrange a visit.

Potter Class Outdoor Space

Potter Class has had a lovely new outside space installed over the Easter holidays! Pupils now have a much bigger, fully fenced area to play in with areas of grass, pathways and asphalt to provide interest. The space has gone down so well with the children that it's very hard to get them inside for lessons!

Arbor replaces ParentPay

We are pleased to advise we have launched the Arbor Parent Portal/App for parents / guardians. The Arbor Portal and App are designed to help you stay connected with your child's school life. You will be able to use the Portal/App for booking the upcoming Parent's Evenings and view your child's attendance. At a future date, the Portal/App will also offer the ability to book dinners, clubs and trips.

Arbor can be accessed in 2 ways:

1. Arbor Parent Portal - Website version which can be accessed via a web browser.

2. Arbor Parent App - Mobile App that you can download to your smartphone or tablet.

Crucial Note for First-Time Users: You must set up your password and accept the terms of use through the Parent Portal (website) first. You cannot do this through the app.

Next Steps:

1. You will receive a Welcome Email from us (look for an email from Arbor in your inbox (check junk mail too).

2. Click the Login Link: Inside the email, click on the unique login link provided. This link will take you to a secure page to set up your account.

3. Set your password

4. You will then be redirected to the log-in page where you can enter your email address and your newly set password.

My Happy Mind

We are proud to announce that we are a myHappymind Silver Accredited School!

This means that as a school, we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a whole school culture that helps build our children's resilience, confidence and self-esteem as well as teaching them how to self-regulate in those stressful times. This accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children, governors and parents have put in to bring the lessons of myHappymind to life all around our school!

Headteacher Certificates

Yesterday, we were able to award our first Headteachers Certificates for children who have been repeatedly showing their use of the 'my Happy mind' skills and knowledge they have learnt in class. We are very proud that they are leading the way in adopting these and showing them to their peers. Keep it up! Unfortunately, Mr. Parkhouse wasn't able to present them. We hope he can next time!
